Frequently asked questions

Everything people usually ask about surprise bags.

It's a set of food from a place's daily range that wasn't sold by closing time: pastries, ready meals, groceries. The place packs the bag from what's left and sells it at a significant discount.

The place itself doesn't know what will be left until the evening. So there is no fixed list — just a category (say, “bread and pastries”), a description of what to expect and a price. That's the surprise.

Pick a place on the storefront, check today's pickup window and make a reservation. The bag is held for you until the window ends.

At the venue itself, during the pickup window shown on the card — usually close to closing time. No code or QR is needed: just tell the staff you have a Sarkyt reservation for a surprise bag. After you get it, mark the reservation as picked up in “My reservations”.

The reservation is valid only within the pickup window. If you realise you won't make it, cancel in advance so someone else can take the bag.

The bag contains the same food that was on sale during the day, within its shelf life. Partners must follow sanitary standards — just like with regular sales.

The contents change every day, so if you have allergies, always check with the staff at pickup. Places usually list possible allergens in the bag description.

You can cancel for free any time before the pickup window ends: open “My reservations” and tap “Cancel reservation”. There is no online payment — you pay at the venue when you collect, so there is nothing to refund. If something is wrong with the bag itself, contact our support.

A bag usually costs about a third of the usual value of its contents. Both the price and the estimated usual value are shown on the place's card.

Register as a partner: tell us about your place, describe the bag and the pickup schedule, then fill in your tax details. Once moderation approves them, sales start automatically.
